What Our Clients Have Said About Us
From a parent of two boys (hotel job):
Michelle,
Just a belated thank you for your amazing care given to our two boys last Wednesday evening. The next morning Ty was up and ready to play with his race track that the two of you built. Will definitely keep your card in my wallet for our next visit to Portland.

Parent of twin eight-year old girls:
Michelle, I am going through old emails and found this one. Sorry I didn't answer at the time. Thanks for watching our girls. You were great. We will be glad to serve as a recommender for you should you ever be asked for one. Thanks again. Phyllis
From the City of Portland, Sustainable Energy Department after their fix-it-fairs:
You did a great job with the kids, we couldn't run this without you.
Sincerely,

From a person in Florida who was helping a friend arrange for childcare here:
Michelle,
Thanks for the email! I will forward to Kimberly and imagine one of us will be in contact with you. I must tell you --- the other service that Timberline recommended was not HALF as professional, organized, or as experienced as you. I would feel comfortable leaving Sophie with you tomorrow! J (She really is a sweetheart! )Thanks again for all of your help. We’ll be in touch.

From a parent of a 20 month old son:
Dear Michelle,
Thank you for the "Toddler Diet." I LITERALLY have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard (or are the tears because of the spaghetti sauce on my nice dining room chairs?)
Anyway -- thanks again for watching our little BOJ (bundle-of-joy). Usually when we leave him with a baby-sitter or at daycare he cries a bit, but I don't think he even noticed we were leaving, he was having so much fun. Also, many thanks for the unexpected surprise (completely UNNECESSARY, but certainly appreciated) of doing our dishes. How nice of you. Please feel free to use us as a reference. I don't think we'll be back up there until we actually move (I think the beginning of 2004) but we'll certainly keep you in our address book.
Take care,
Debbi and Matthew and Cullen (AND Baby Madison!! We just found out IT"S A GIRL with good healthy chromosomes!!!)
From a hotel guest:
Dear Michelle,
Thank you so much for taking care of Jesse, and for the lovely note you left us. You were really wonderful with him, and he really loved being with you. You went far beyond the call of duty, and we are very grateful.
Take care and, if you're ever in Boston, look us up.

A bride’s mother after the wedding:
Hello Michelle,
I wanted to send you a quick note and say thank you for the wonderful job you did last night.
I could barely talk at the end, I was so exhausted. Now we have 2 days before we have to head up to Seattle for our son's wedding.
Then peace and quiet again, I hope.Everyone was so pleased with the childcare - it worked out perfectly!
Thank you again.

A reunion guest at Reed College:
Michelle – I want to thank you and your staff for providing such a great experience for Paul, April, and Will at the child care at Reed College last weekend. They had a great time on Friday night when we dropped in and were begging to go back on Saturday, and talked a lot about how nice all the people were. Will said “it’s not like child care, it’s like my preschool where they just HELP you if you need help.” You made our time at the Reunion much more relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you! Hilary Morland
Coordinator for Reed College reunions:
To whom it may concern:
My name is Mela Kunitz, and I work at Reed College Alumni Relations. Michele Davenport, Creative Childcare Solutions Inc., asked me to provide a reference for her in regards to your December holiday party. A good portion of my job is coordinating our reunions program at which we have 700-800 alumni including 50 children on campus. For our evening activities, we provide childcare and have utilized Creative Childcare Solutions for the last few years.
I have been very pleased with that Creative Childcare Solutions on many levels. They expertly take care of both the children and the parents; not an easy task. In addition, I enjoy working with Michele as a vendor; she communicates effectively her staff needs in terms of space, food, AV, etc. In the past, we coordinated the childcare internally and now having Creative Childcare Solutions provide this service allows us to concentrate on other details and be rest assured that all is well with the children of our alumni.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.

From a hotel client who lives in Phoenix:
Oh my goodness! You got home SO late!!!
Thank you SO very, very much, Michelle! You were absolutely wonderful and the boys talked about you all day yesterday. The wedding was so great and it was wonderful to be able to enjoy it like we did. My feet still hurt from all the dancing in my ridiculously high heels! J
It was wonderful to meet you. Thanks again!

From a hotel guest who has since moved here and called on us again:
Hi Michelle!
Just returned from our long Oregon vacation and I wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did with Robert. I found his goodie bag after you left -- that was so creative and certainly above and beyond what we expected.
Your professionalism and kindness towards children is apparent and much appreciated by parents like Glenn and myself who are so far away from home. I know you've got great things to look forward to in your future business endeavors.
Best of luck with munchkincare -- we'll be sure to recommend your company to anyone we know who's visiting Portland!
Regards,
Leslie Ziegler
From a hotel guest who used our services:
Hi Michelle,
I know this is much delayed but I wanted to thank you for sending us Brie while we were visiting in Portland in June.
Grace and Nate loved her and it gave Peter and myself peace of mind knowing she was with them, while enjoying my brother's wedding! I know it can't be easy with 2 toddlers in a hotel room but she did great!
All our best,
Vanessa, Peter, Grace and Nate Thomas
From a hotel guest who used our services:
We had a wonderful time at the wedding thanks to Judy. It all went well and please pass my thanks to her. Alfie was quite charmed! Thank you for your superb service and careful thought. If we are in Portland again we won't hesitate to contact you.
Best Wishes
Claire

Meetings Manager
The Ecological Society of AmericaDATE: October 28, 2004
RE: Referral for Michelle Davenport and Creative Childcare Solutions
The Ecological Society of America hired Michelle and her team to provide infant and toddler care on site at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland last summer for the Society’s 89th Annual Meeting. ESA always provides Infant and Toddler Care for parents who attend our meeting and who are usually both involved in meeting presentations.
The Infant and Childcare room was located in two connected rooms in the Center. The room was set up on Sunday, and Infant and Toddler Care were provided from 7:45 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday, and 7:45 AM to about 1 PM on Friday. There were between 5 and 23 babies and children ages 3 months through 6 years in the Child Care room during this period.
Having been the Meetings Manager here at ESA for the past 8 years, I can assure you I struggle to find a good, reputable and well staffed Childcare provider every year in the various locations where our Annual Meeting is held. It’s not easy, and for the most part, I have been dissatisfied with the arrangements. Our parents are very attentive to health and well-being concerns; as scientists and researchers, they demand a very high level of security, scrutiny and “education.”
This past summer was the first time I have been completely satisfied with our Childcare provider. The enthusiastic and very positive responses we have received in our post-meeting evaluation from happy parents reinforce my feeling. Michelle Davenport is a professional – she knows how to take care of little ones and how to bring calm, joy and creativity to child care services. The others who work with her are not teenage babysitters; the children are not “warehoused” or parked in front of Barney reruns. The snacks, toys, books, games, decorations, high-chairs, cribs, mats provided for our meeting by Creative Childcare Solutions were all age appropriate, environmentally conscious and healthy.
ESA normally looks for a firm that is fully insured and bonded. While ESA has no set limit for the insurance policy, we usually prefer and ask for a million dollar coverage. While Creative Childcare Solutions did not carry a policy that high, their level of detail, efficiency, pre-meeting registration forms and requirements and on-site check in/check out safeguards were more that reassuring. Obviously, there’s always the possibility of unforeseen circumstances, but I think you would find Creative Childcare Solutions to be as careful and conscientious as any firm you could possibly hire to provide your employees with quality care during your event.
I can recommend Michelle Davenport and Creative Childcare Solutions to you without hesitation. I only wish I could pack up the entire operation and take them with us to our future meetings.
